SSCOPE and Wescon Enterprises of Steinbach, specialists in large project concrete pouring throughout Manitoba, began their partnership this summer. SSCOPE supplied the crews and supervisors as a subcontractor to Wescon for a large rebar tieing project prior to the laying of concrete at a dairy barn in the Rosser district. That led to over three weeks of steady work for over 8 SSCOPE members who were developing their job skills and employment readiness.
As a result of the partnership and greater familiarity with our program by Gord and Angela Dyck, owners of Wescon, we have recently been blessed with a $1,000 donation to the development of SSCOPE member employee readiness for future construction jobs. Thank you sincerely to Wescon Enterprises for recognizing the value of the SSCOPE program: real jobs to support mental health recovery and personal growth!

SSCOPE has made construction site projects as a priority for 2013 to increase employment opportunities for its members. We’d love to talk to you about a great win-win opportunity as well. Please be a SSCOPE ambassador and let others know about opportunities to use the SSCOPE Special Job Force program.
