The Fund Raising Continues at SSCOPE

There is much good news as we look forward, after our May 25/26 2012 Festival and Fund Raising weekend.

Manitoba musicians played in abundance support of SSCOPE and our cause to support mental health in Winnipeg with real employment and supports and the music brought us all closer together, donations came in in various forms for our programs, new Business leads developed, and we had our first attempt at a Street Party atmosphere that will help us make future attempts better.  Please hold the first Saturday after the May long weekend in 2013 for SSCOPE and Rockin’ the Arlington Bridge 2013.

So many individuals to thank for their support, but we’ll start with Mike Melnyk and The Flip Cats who played twice on the weekend, D.B. Blues and Rocks Band and Garth German who have played all three years in a row, Larry Updike, Greg Glatz, Kyla Cederwall, Mark David Stollard,  Chris Palmer and Darryl Torchia who have now played for SSCOPE now twice in the past four months,  Lisa Saunders and Thrift Store Love and The Davis Brothers who took a chance on our showcasing their talents on the small SSCOPE stages, and were great successes, and many many more.  All on their own hook and own dime as they say.  Watch for a Music Downloads and Links section here soon, for all of SSCOPE’s favorite performers and artists.

Investors Group has confirmed a $7,500.00 donation to help us purchase needed restaurant equipment for our new Mobile Food Unit, which was operating successfully all weekend.  We are beginning to set our sights on a second unit so we can be both out and about and at our offices, at the same time.  The MetroNews story mentioned earlier on this site, has given our program community momentum to start.

Many community members and businesses have donated to SSCOPE recently as we prepared our
Mobile Food unit and held our 3rd Rockin’ the Bridge event.   We thank them sincerely. Donours and Suporters of teh Mobile Food Unit and Rockin’ the Arlington Bridge 2012 are listed HERE.  This push continues.

We have a number of valuable items that were donated to us that will go up for bid on our website and elsewhere in the next few days.  Great time to get a valuable item for pennies on the dollar.  Mininimum 50 pennies.

These items are:

*Shelby Series 1 1999 Burago Gold Collection Model from Ford AutoParts and Parkside Ford
